What is System Integration?
System integration in engineering refers to the process of integrating various components from a subsystem into a single system, and the process must ensure that the functions of all subsystems can operate normally in a single system, such as MRT, the airport of civil engineering.
Also, in Computer Science, it refers to the process of connecting different computer systems and software programs together so that these functions can be realized through a complete system, such as the integrated system of electronic toll collection, retail, manufacturing…etc.
According to the case of each system integration till now, although the difference and complexity are not the same, it is impossible to directly copy the development technology under different requirements, and also impossible to verify whether it is feasible in advance. Moreover, the fee for software and hardware, consulting, cross-functional communication, test adjustment, and education training makes the cost of controlling and customizing the system integration very high.
